An Unexpected Run

The other night I was working late, tired, and was just wishing I was home in bed. I checked the clock, about 11:15, and decided to call it a night. I got my coat on, grabbed some stuff to throw out to the trash, and shut the door behind me. I knew immediately ..I'd locked my keys in my office. Crap! Crap. I stirred around for about a minute and found someone with a cell phone. I called Karen, but she had already been sleeping for quite a while - so she never even heard the phone ring. It's two and a half miles home - screw it - I'll walk (what other choice was there really?) I made it home in about 25 minutes!! In my jeans, with a heavy black leather jacket on I ran a 10-minute pace home! I was freezing by the time I got there as I had no hat or gloves and the windchill had the temp down to about 18. THEN, I had to wake my darling bride up to give me a ride back to work and get my car so it wouldn't get towed away in the morning! She was extremely forgiving. I can be such an idiot. Anyway ...I got my run in for Tuesday after all!

Jazz and Champagne

Jazz and Champagne

Karen and I were out to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. She looked great, the band was swingin', and the champagne was bubbly - a great night out! We both commented that it hasn't seemed like ten years at all! (for me it was fast for Karen it's felt more like a hundred!!!)
